Parents Needed - School Site Council (SSC) and English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC)

Dear Parents,

Please consider service on either or both of Hare High School's parent groups in which you participate and provide input on the way the school operates.

The School Site Council (SSC):

The School Site Council is made up of parents, teachers, students and school staff.  The team meets 4 times during the school year (with the ELAC) to assist in deciding how Hare High School can meet its goals and how best to use the resources we have.

The English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC):

The English Learner Advisory Committee is made up of parents whose children are learning English as a second language. This committee also meets 4 times during the year (with the SSC) and provides input to the school on the development of the school plan for supporting English Learners.

We would like to invite any parents interested in serving on either or both of these committees to indicate their interest by responding to this announcement on ParentSquare, emailing me (Joel Faris) at jfaris@ggusd.us, or calling our main office at 714-663-6508. *We need your response by Tuesday night (September 9th).

All meetings are translated so all can feel free to participate.  We hope that many of you will consider participating in this way to help Hare High School continue to be a great place for your child to learn and continue his or her path toward credit recovery and graduation.

Please call the school at (714) 663-6508 if you have any questions.

THANK YOU!

Joel Faris, Assistant Principal
