I first began my career in Garden Grove Unified School District in 1996 as an instructional aid in special education. I was attending community college and needed a part-time job, so I took the advice of my mother, a retired teacher from GGUSD, and applied at Fitz Intermediate. After working there a few years, I knew that teaching was the profession I wanted to pursue. I completed my Associate Arts degree from Cerritos College and then transferred to Cal State University, Long Beach where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in English and my teaching credential. I have been working at Hare High School since the fall of 2005.
As a Southern California resident, I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, paddle boarding, and roller-skating. I am the proud aunt of two nephews and spend most of my free time with family and friends. I hope to encourage my students to set high standards for themselves and to live life to its fullest.
